What is Fit Foodies ?
21 Days Tummy Tracker Challenge
About The project
Fit Foodies is a mobile app that encourage young people adopt a healthy way of eating. It improves this through the fun experience of playing games. The app uses the concept of the popular game Ludo King and encourages kids to consume nutritious and healthy food and feel the excitement of the adventure game.

Design Process
Our process began by Empathizing with Foodshaala's operational needs and the target user group (children aged 9-12), which helped Define the core goal: digitizing the "Tummy Tracker." Ideation centered on creating an efficient, engaging platform for self-tracking healthy habits. We then developed a Prototype and conducted iterative Testing to validate usability and ensure the resulting system accurately generates actionable data records to measure program impact
🎯Identifying dual user pain
🧠 Psychology of habit change
📈 Digital opportunity &differentiation
Paper tracking was slow, error-prone, and failed to engage children effectively or efficiently.
Instant gamified feedback reinforced positive choices, promoting easy, sustainable habit development.
Automating data capture bridged the critical gap between user fun and NGO reporting needs.
Stage 1 : Empathise
Understanding contextual research and user analysis
To design something truly useful, I needed to deeply understand what made habit-building hard in the real world. This stage was all about uncovering the "why behind the struggle" through qualitative and secondary research.
Initial Research
Current tracking system
Before diving into primary user research, I conducted extensive secondary research to grasp the broader project landscape and pinpoint key challenges. This phase was critical for understanding the Foodshaala Foundation's mission and values, identifying all stakeholders (NGO staff, students, parents), and defining the target audience (9-12 year olds). This early analysis validated the demand for a human-centered approach that goes beyond just tracking progress, aiming to support users in building lasting, sustainable healthy habits.
